1,2,3 Ideas
October 5, 2024
We can totally stress ourselves out about what we think SHOULD be happening. Take a break, sit back, and get perspective.
In this weekly letter, I put together the favorite 3 tweets or short posts of this week, 1 or 2 ideas of others, and a question for you to ponder at the end.
Ideas from me:
1. Sometimes, you have days in which nothing productive seems to happen. Call them wondering days. Just because you can't see progress doesn't mean it isn't happening.
2. You can hear what someone says. Mastery is hearing from where someone says what they say.
3. Life becomes significantly harder when you don't have a distinction between your thoughts and reality.
Ideas from others:
"Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun."
― Alan Wilson Watts
"The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves."
― Alan Wilson Watts, The Culture of Counter-Culture: Edited Transcripts
Question to Ponder:
Where is the I that has a problem with this?
